So we got an email forwarded to us from our breeder. She'd asked us to write up something about Copper for her website and apparently someone saw us. It very nice, and warms my heart, so I thought I'd share:
I just saw the posting on your website about Copper and my heart goes
out to the Connell family.
If you could be so kind as to forward my message to the family I
would greatly appreciate it.
Though I have only met the Connell family and Copper a few times
(visiting at dog shows and swissy meetings) what I was most taken
with was Copper's gentle nature and his watchful eye over the family.
The picture I will always have in my mind is Copper laying down
relaxed and happy and Dylan rolling on top of him or giving him big
hugs that only a little boy can. That was when I knew for certain
that the Swissy was the ultimate family dog. Of all of the Swissys
that I was getting to know, Copper was one of my favorites. It was
impressive to see such a big dog with such a gentle nature. Throw in
a toddler and that is a combination that will melt any heart.
We are just getting to know our 4 month old Swissy girl but, if I had
a standard to hold her to, Copper would be right at the top of the
list. Copper had a wonderful family and I hope we can be such a
family to our girl Riley. Losing a family member is not easy
especially one so dedicated. I was touched by Copper and I will make
sure to look for his star tonight.
All our best to your family.

It made us very happy. He was ALWAYS the best behaved at the swissy events (for some reason unknown to us).
