JJ is worrying me tonight...

JJ started acting a little funny this afternoon almost like a lick fit but nothing like what Rudy does when he has them. She did try to eat some grass when we went outside. I gave her some Pepcid AC and she did pretty well. They came back in from outside, ate and then went back out with us while i cleaned up the yard. She peed and pooped just fine. She fell asleep next to my chair in the office and while she was snoring every once in a while she would let out a little high pitched sound like she was in pain. she did that a few times. and I felt of her belly. It really does not feel hard. She bloated once when she was much younger and her stomach was tacked at that time. I gave her a Gas-X strip and she shifted around a bit and is now back to snoring again. no painful whines in the last few minutes. I'm just gonna keep an eye on her and see what happens. She is bad about eating stuff she shouldn't but as far as i know nothing big is missing.
I know the stomach tack does not prevent them from bloating again - just prevents the torsion. She's not pacing or moving around frequently to find a comfortable position... So I'll just have to keep an eye on her still. Maybe the Gas-X was something she needed.

Well she didn't want to get up from her sleeping position in the office and go to the LR during dinner as she usually does. I coaxed her up and she laid in her crate while we ate. A little while later she got up from there without making any noises and walked back to the office and after maneuvering around Rudy a bit she finally settled down and got comfortable and has been asleep for over an hour and a half at least...

I wish they could tell you where they were hurting... thanks for the well wishes guys. I'll update you in the morning.

I got up early and went to spin class this morning. She seemed fine then, not making any sounds like she was in pain. She was getting up and down more easily. So off to class I went. Jerry fed them this morning and I'm assuming everything went well. He didn't leave a note or anything to say otherwise. She is smiling this morning and seeming much better. After I got back from spin class a little while ago, I felt of her belly when she was standing up. There is a spot that she fusses a little when you press it but not enough for her to pull away from me or anything and you have to press pretty hard. She's had several belly surgeries, a few C-sections, spay and the gastropexy so I'm sure she has some scar tissue in there and some possible adhesions. I would think they would get these just like humans do. I'm going to chalk it up to that for now unless she gets worse. I'll talk to Jerry later when he is heading out to his route from the post office. he always calls then. When he is in the office he has his phone turned off. Right now she's settling down to sleep by my desk and is moving around without whimpering so that's good...

Thanks .... I talked to Jerry and he said she ate fine and pooped fine so I think she just has an area that is uncomfortable to her right now... not sure why but she is definitely better than she was last night.
