Have they talked about starting a petfood pantry in that area?
I would love to give to something like that if the only reason these people are turning in their pets is because they can't afford to feed them!

We have just started a petfood pantry here in Baldwin county in the last month.
I'm sure NOLA has one as well..

I saw where petfinder had a great article a few days ago about setting one up. Wish I had the time to do something like that.
