Love our new Mammoth bed- comes apart (velcro) for washing! And always will love the Kuranda- keep dog dirt and oils off the floor.
I have moved to a twin bed mattress. Not pretty for the living room (but then Daisy has decided the couch works just fine when I am not home) but for Daisy at least it is the only thing big enough for her to stretch out on. I used crib mattress in the past which was great cuz you can just wipe it down, but too small for her now.
I buy a nice, large bed that is big enough for each dog. Then, I place a camping mattress (those very dense foam things) underneath the fluff, inside the cover of the bed so that there is more support and so that, no matter what, they will never feel the floor). Then, I get a double bed-sized egg-crate and fold it in half and put that on top. I secure this to the bed using a mattress pad and then put a sheet around the whole thing (tucked underneath so it stays snug). I wash the sheet every 3 - 5 days and the whole bed stays nice and fresh all of the time. I replace the egg-crate every 3 months or so when it starts to look smooshed. Right now, I have more layers of foam on Oliver's bed and Delilah's bed due to his old bones and Delilah's recent surgery. Their beds are far more comfortable than my own...
I cannot let my dogs see that, Sam.

LOL, I just realized that my own bed sucks and wondered why I didn't ever think of making it better (or buying a new one!) like I do for the dogs. I'm a dork.
I am not sure if 35"x50" would be big enough for the largest of your puppers......but for those of you with slightly smaller pets:

I have their human bed and LOVE it - so do my dogs. They sleep with us at every opportunity except when it is just too dang hot with doggie bodies around us and we kick them off. It is not cheap (100 for the big one) - but we have had our human bed for 3 years and it is still like new. It is like a tempurpedic only cheaper. They ship it all squished down and vacuum packed and shipping is included. They just started their pet bed line - but it is on our list to get later this year.
We also have two Costco beds around the house and for the price they work great!
I love the Kurandas we just bought for our too. So easy to clean, doesn't pile up with hair, and they love them.
P.S. This is kind of related to bedding:
I just went to Tractor Supply and bought this crazy-heavy stall mat. It is about 60 pounds and uber awkward to carry, but it is really dense and cushiony without being "soft". I am using it for an area that Oliver insists on laying but he is having trouble getting up due to the slickness of the wood floor. But, I heard about it from the Hip Dysplasia group I am part of and many of them use it as the only padding in their dog's crate because it does provide padding without being fluffy (also cannot be chewed up, which is an issue for some dogs, I guess). You can easily wipe it down, too. My husband was not too pleased with it b/c it is kind of huge and is now in the middle of our dining room (not the middle, but not really NOT the middle). The major down-side is that it smells like a tire, but I am praying that it goes away soon....

I cannot stress enough how awkward and heavy this thing is. Two men helped put it in my car and I thought they were being a bit dramatic with how heavy they were acting it was (these were two BIG guys) but when I got it home, I realized that it is ridiculously heavy.
Some people recommended cutting it in half with a saw and then it fit in their dogs' crates.
I've used the stall mat when Basja went thru a chewing phase- it cuts well with an exacto knife. It is heavy and STINKS. I ended up removing it since it gave me a headache from the smell. The remaining material went to make a rock guard for the trucks....works great for that too.
I would love to get Kurunda beds.
If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the fun out of owning one. ~Andy Rooney
They have kuranda-type beds at a really good price at Overtock.com for a while. Not sure if they are any good.

Still love the kurandas. Always have a Costco bed or two around the house although they just don't last that long. Willow sleeps on a crib mattress at night which is great because I use a mattress pad and crib sheet on it so it is super easy to keep clean.
