    Default Red Moon Pet Food

I saw this posted on the Swissy forum and I thought I'd mention it here.

    Red Moon Pet Food

It's an interesting idea. Basically made-to-order pet food, although their protein options are somewhat limited right now. The offer only chicken and lamb, plus either yellow peas or potato along with it. So low, medium and high protein. Then you can add supplements in if you want. It's not cheap at all, but at least shipping is free. I may try a small bag with Indy or Beowulf to see if they like it.

    Anyone else hear of them?

OK, this is interesting. I emailed them to see if they'd comp me some food in exchange for a review. A Swissy person, Sera Fradgley, is involved to some level w/this company. It's a small, small world.

Would you mind if I post this on my Dane Board??? We have a resident food guru that I'd like to have take a look at it...

Nope, go ahead. My samples are shipping today, so I'll let you know what I think about it soon.

So I posted this on my Dane Board and was told that the High Protein Formulas look solid and that it is a great concept but for the price you might as well go with EVO or Orijen, as they appear to be of the similar quality, just a little more affordable.... IDK?? I say if you can afford it and you dogs do well on it go for it.......

Our samples of the low protein chicken and potato just arrived. It smells REALLY good. I let everyone (except Dan) try a little and they seem to enjoy it. I think we will be feeding it tonight, at least to Ozzy.
