    Question raw pigs feet

Do any of you feed these to your dogs?

I am going to give them a try later today. I am starting to play around with different things and these 2 seem to be able to tolerate just about anything. Jasper still doesn't like fish but he is giving most other things a good try.

I haven't tried those. Mine do love raw turkey feet, though. Where do you get the pigs' feet?

Oh, I get them from a raw food supplier who is local here. I didn't think FL would have something like that. I wonder if my grocery store has stuff like that.

Our giant ethnic grocery store has chicken feet, pigs feet - every kind of feet they have. I never considered pig's feet though. They seemed a little skin and bones and I wasn't sure what Ishould expect my dogs to do with them and NOT do with them.

So let me know how it turns out Pammie. I may follow your lead.

Unless it makes them fart a lot.

Jasper just carried it around the house so i took it away from him. Janey really gnawed on it for awhile then I took it from her to. Seems to maybe be more like a recreational chew bone.

Do you have a raw co-op you work with, Pam? The turkey feet and chicken feet are totally edible and provide a lot of gluc/chond and they LOVE them. Asian markets carry chicken feet around here. Maybe you have something like that around you? If you're looking for a food co-op for the dogs, you can join this yahoo group and they will let you know which list serves your area and then you can hopefully find someone near you to buy these lovely things from http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/C...Feed-Supplier/
They helped me find my central NY and western NY groups that cater to my area.

Turkey feet are about 3x bigger than chicken feet and much heavier boned so they take my dogs a few minutes to eat. I get those in bulk -- 20 pounds a month -- and that keeps them happy.
They are big enough though that I have to subtract some from their meals to compensate (but, both of mine tend towards the chubby side).
