    Default Extreme Poodles

So - I turned on the TV and it was on TLC. Just happened to catch the last 5 minutes of Extreme Poodles. Very Interesting!!!! Has anyone else seen this?

I own low maintenance dogs as far as grooming. The worst dog I have owned was a Sheltie and all he required was brushing and bathing. I can not imagine going through this amount of work. I am not even sure how I feel about it. On one hand they are spending time with their dogs and the dogs don't appear to hate it - but really? Turning your dog into a safari (Lion in front, Zebra/Giraffe in back)???????

Here is a link to the TLC add for it - the vids after are related as well:

The third video where the cat is hot pink however - that cat doesn't appear to like the grooming quite as much as the dogs....

So what do you guys think?

This is a trend that I hope goes away soon. It seems creepy to me.

When I see poodles with these weird cuts and colors I can't help but think all the other dogs are pointing and laughing at them.

I had never heard of that show. From the title I thought it was a contest or something TLC made up for TV, but it looks like it's an actual competition. I had no idea such a thing even existed. Looks like everyone is having fun!

I think it is creepy, but like Amanda said, they are spending time with their dogs. I was thinking of some purple highlights for Daisy. LOL

Forgive me but I think its disgraceful. This is the ultimate departure from what dogs and wolves were meant to be. If I had a sense of humor about it I guess it would be amusing. But I don't. Sorry if this offends any one - its just my opinion and like a**holes, everybody's got one.

I don't really like it - but it is WAY better than having a dog stuck outside in a dog run or on a chain for its entire life and THAT is not even considered abuse in most areas of the country. So on the scheme of things I guess I don't mind it that much.

The dogs are healthy, cared for, pampered, no festering wound is going to grow un-noticed on these dogs.
