Now not just the lyme, but now kidney failure is suspect.. Todays vets visit.
Okay back from the vet- here we go...
In his exam- eyes clear, nasal, ears- clear, Lungs clear, respiration- normal, heart- normal, prostate- smaller ( but good for a intact male dog- so good).
Pain- good neurological reactions, left side turning of neck- pretty good but a little stiff. Right side turning of neck- Loud pronounced yelp. ( that has been the worst side of this.).

Kidney- results monday. However- urine is very concentrated. ( and should not be as he urinated 3 times this morning before going to the vet.).
We are going to add unflavored pedialyt at 1/2 cup per 48 oz of water. Also adding granular cranberry- one capsule per 48 oz ( measured) bowl of water.

Weight- 101.3 pounds!!! ( holy cow Zubin- where did you put it? ) Which means he has gained 5.7 pounds since 3 months ago! ( last weigh in).

So-= 286 dollars later- we wait for the profile/cbc IH DX to come back. The urinalysis-( complete DX) and the Urine Pro/Creat Ratio -Antech, to all come back.

My assured assured me she doesn't think he is a candidate for this, but we must rule it out. These tests will be done again when he finishes the Doxi.
She said he has always been healthy ( other than my boy is uh well uh a bit of a klutz), so we wait for all that to come.
Meanwhile, hubby picked up some bananas as we do not know his potasium rates yet. He likes them cold in slices anyway..

    There you have it.

So why do they suspect kidney issues? Is it simply because of concentrated pee?

No his urination patterns and amount have totally changed. Add lyme disease can lead to kidney ( renal) failure.

Thank you. As well as the above, we have to measure out his water. Then add 1/2 cup of pedialyte until he is done with the doxi.

Vet just called. Dr.Webber said the lab got the tests done this evening verses tomorrow or Monday.
So- white count- normal red count normal
    Platlets- normal
    Kidney value 15 ( normal is 6-31) so *
    Cret is 1.4 ( normal 5-1.6)*
    bile ruban Normal.
    Urine grain 1016 * ( normal is 1035 + )
    Protein is 2+ *
No blood ( whew .. good news)
white Hp Field is Off-* ie dehydrated
So we are not out of the woods, but at least the ceiling is not caving in.
She said that he should be put on Betrol as well as a broad spectrum, however- that would be rough possibly on his stomach, and he does not need to dehydrate more at this stage.

Hopefully the Pedialyte will help with the dehydration.

Thank you all.. Now we just ride this out. If his urination patterns, and still drinking alot of water ( 4 times at least what he was drinking), going much more frequently with alot of urine, then we have to redo the tests.
Laurie found me a great raw diet modification to feed to him if this does come to pass. Some of the things in there we are just going to add as to support kidney health in all 3 dogs.
Example- asparagus, kale, and broccoli are better for the kidneys higher in numbers, than say baby carrots. Simple change! etc etc etc.
Here is a picture of Zubin taken yesterday afternoon.

He had an accident last night, but it was obviously not his fault. He looked so embarassed this morning.. I said nothing, hubby took them out, and I just cleaned it up.. NO big deal.
Thank you all for your well wishes, thoughts and prayers.
