    Default Fromm....

So since we've been toying with the idea of switching dog foods since Evo was bought out by P&G... I've been looking for alternatives. I could go with Orijen from the current pet store where i buy the Evo.. It's a good alternative. It has a couple pounds more per bag but costs about $8 more per bag...

Now the kennel I've been using has started carrying some dog food. They have Fromm.... I know it's supposed to be a good food. It's a 33 pound bag of the Fromm Gold for $58. I'm paying $53 for the Evo in a 28 pound bag. So that means the Fromm is a little cheaper per pound than the Evo...

So any of you Swissy peeps tried the Fromm before? I think Mel tried it before if i remember correctly... anyway... I need to decide soon if I'm going to switch because I've got about 1/2 a bag left of Evo- maybe a little more...

I feed Fromm, although I feed the four star pork and apples blend. The Gold is very nice and I've fed that too. It just seems that everyone in my house (except for maybe Ozzy, so there may be a switch in the future) does pretty well on the pork, while Beowulf had issues with the Gold. I've tried most of their other formulas - well, the dogs have - and would personally avoid the whitefish and duck blends. Just because they make for stinky dogs w/funky poop. Basja eats the Chicken a la veg, or at least she did in May.

I switch her Fromm around every couple of months. I can't feed the fish one- she tends to lose weight on it. I think the chicken al la veg is giving her gunky ear tho...so we will be doing surf n turf next.

k... thanks for the input... the only thing is they seem to only have the Gold in the big bags. from what i can tell online the others are in 26 pound bags and cost a bit more... I'm either going to do this or go back to TOTW...

Lowe is currently eating duckers and sweet taters and LOVES IT. She eats it without any doctoring.
