    Default Broken nail

Poor Chops! The dogs were outside playing a while ago and they were playing really hard... Chops got bodychecked by Kash in a really weird way and he stumbled, and then when we came inside he wouldn't leave his foot alone (licking it.) Upon inspection, I found he has a broken nail It's not REALLY bad (assuming - I've never had this happen before. But there's still nail left, like only a little broke off but enough to bother him, I guess) but I've never had this happen... anything I can/should do for him?

Becareful.. they can lead to osteomylitis. Brutus almost had to have half his paw amputate a few years ago due to a broken nail... I'd get antibiotics to be on the safe side.

Nee's broken his nails quite often, what with his digging, and me being a bad mommy and not keeping his nails as short as they're supposed to be. So far it hasn't caused any problems. *HUGS*
