the article says it isnt the first time the officer has done this. I think he should lose his job, since he is not really doing it in the first place. I dont think on his letter of employment they stated, shot to kill dogs as one of the responsibilities...

There is just unbelievable outrage about this on the pyr boards. The petition was started by the rescue group that we got Jasper from. I just am amazed that this happened. We had a Dept Natural Resources Office shoot and kill a St B about 5 years ago up here on the mountain. He said he was chasing deer. We all knew that was a lie because the dog was so old and had arthritis and could barely move. That is why I have heart failure when one of mine gets out because they normally are after a deer...not that they would ever catch one anyway.
