A husky shot at an off-leash dog park by a off-duty cop!

Bear-Bear, a brown and white husky that was about 3 years old, was playing in the Quail Run dog park at about 6:30 p.m., running off leash inside the fenced-in area, when the officer and his wife arrived with a German shepherd, who was kept on a leash. When the dogs began to play roughly, the federal officer asked Bear-Bear's guardian, his owner's brother, to call off the dog. But before he could do anything, the officer pulled out a gun and shot Bear-Bear, according to the husky's owner.

Im disgusted and appalled. I would probably kill someone if they did that to either of my dogs!

if you do not want your dog to play with others why then would you take it to a dog park. Also, when Lowe plays with others and she gets rough I always call her over. But it does not sound like the guy had time. Also if you did not want to encounter other dogs who would be off leash again why the dog park.

Now the jerk with the gun would be hurting if it had been my dog. He would also be paying damages and I would go after him in any way I could. What an abuse of a gun and athority. Can I barrow a rusty box cutter.

What???!?!?!?!?! I can't imagine they were playing THAT rough! I would be livid and would have done something really bad to that guy, I think.
I just can't imagine that no sort of charges at all will be filed. I mean you can't just go around shooting other peoples dogs for no reason. I really hope justice is served to this guy! And I hope it's harsh!

WTF!!! That is insanity! Ohio dog wardens are natorious for pulling this kind of crap.

Charges have been brought in this case. It appears there was a witness and he backs the person's story who brought the dog to the park not the officer's version. I get the Baltimore TV stations here and there is quite an outrage about this.
