    Default Orijen!

When we were in Destin I stopped into a doggy boutique and they carried Orijen and Acana. I bought a 40 pound bag of the Orijen Red Meat...

    Wowza!

Bogey just inhaled the Orijen and is licking his bowl all over the kitchen floor..
Birdie always inhales her food but Bogey is more of a grazer...

Of course, there is no distributor for Orijen here...

Sounds to me like you have a reason to hit the beaches of Destin pretty darned often.

Or - I could just come down for a play date? You are so sweet to offer to do that...We may have to take you up on that.

I could probably be convinced to drive it down. I'll bring a truckload and winter down there.

Cobalt was on Orijen when we got him, and frankly, his body proportions were weird. His hair coat wasn't very good either, but I'm now beginning to wonder if there weren't 17 bazillion other factors in his life that made him look that way. He re-arranged, grew a ton, and got a lovely coat on Evo and we all know what's happening there!

I have yet to find the perfect dog food, so I may have to give Orijen another try. Evo may no longer be trustworthy, Blue Buffalo Wilderness (chicken) has some health concerns right now. Hmmm, Orijen may be the best bet!

Where do you get it from, Val? Is it Ivey's?

And, yes Kim - come down for a playdate!

I have to say that my dogs have "looked" the best when they were on Evo...But that is no longer an option for us.
They have been on TOTW and doing great but I like to have something to rotate through that is different.
Bogey went crazy for his breakfast again this morning...We are using the Orijen Red Meat formula...

Blue Wilderness was going to be an option for me if they had a non-poultry formula...Birdie can't have birds...LOL..

We are feeding Acana right now and my two love it. We did the Pacifica for quite a while and now we're giving the Wild Prairie a try. The boutique owner where I buy the food from also said that since they are both made by Champion that it's okay to switch around between all of the varieties of the two. But, I did notice that some of the formulas are much higher in protein than others, so I think I may avoid that, but if you're looking for variety I would say that Orijin/Acana would definitely provide it! btw - the 'output' produced while on this food has been the best it's ever been for us.

Yes, Ivey's has it but I'm not using that right now. I've switched them from Evo to Fromm Adult Gold which i get at Lucky Dog Resort on Creighton (next door to Cain's)... I've taken about 3 1/2 weeks to switch them very slowly over.. This week they are finally 100% on the Fromm. So far so good. They love it and their poops have stayed pretty normal through the whole thing.

Kim you can definitely come over for a play date!
