Thought I would start a new thread with only good news (because I cannot have any more bad news with my boy)
We got home about an hour ago and the first thing the Bug did is pee a gallonHe is also using his newly fixed leg a little, too. I am very guarded about saying he is doing good, but he is definatly doing MUCH better than he was a few days ago. He will keep the feeding tube for quite awhile because he knows the smell of his meds and will not eat ANYTHING they have touched...the little pooper! So, we are feeding him what he will eat and supplementing that with the tube feeding with his meds in it, this way we know he is getting everything he needs right now. We have a very VERY long road ahead after his last setback, but he is a fighter.
I "believed" in the power of prayers (or whatever you choose to call it - healing vibes, prayer, well thoughts, etc.) but after this last go-round I have no other explanation of why he pulled through so quickly. I cannot thank you all enough for keeping my best bud in your thoughts - you have made a huge difference in his life, and in turn, mine too. As long as he keeps fighting to make it, I will do everything I possibly can to make his life the best that it can possibly be. NOW, I am going to go lay down and take a nap with my Bug
The feeding tube is what you see across his back
Stoned and trying to figure out how to find the floor
And me holding my boy's paw
Off to nap with mah bebbeh!
