My three dogs don't seem to like Tibetan monks chanting ALL the live long night. I thought it would relax them, since I had them spend the night in the kitchen with ONE piddle pad near the back door stairs leading to outside. Instead they looked frazzled and like someone tried to electrocute them. I even think they tried to make a doggy ladder to escape through the kitchen window because the florescent light mounted waaaaay above it was hanging half-way down. Their hair looked like three dandilions in the white phase but only one was actually white....

The little terrier next door has been barking non stop all morning. I looked over the fence just now and he is standing in front of his Aussie companion, who is laying down and barking into it's face. I would have to go all Akita on that terrier's wiry coated behind, if that were me. NO WAY is that acceptable...to stand there for minutes at a time BARKING into my face. I hope the other dog is deaf and he is just seeing the mouth move and not hearing anything.

    nope...
Don't like barking for no reason. Not even my hounds do that. It's like a kid standing in your face saying mommy! mommy! over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

Bailey is turning into a very sweet attendant in sessions, she meets and greets people and is very very mellow and gentle with children though she looks at them as if to say, "what exactly ARE you little human?" Tee cup human - to quote Erik the Vampire.

Time to get "Miltie-cam" set up. He opens the gate and it's swung open every time I come home. Not a thing moved in the room. I want to see him do this....

On a side-note, there is a female Miltie look-a-like who I keep thinking about. She is scared of everything and has sad, but beautiful eyes.

Let me know how it goes, Samantha. Abby managed to get a door open the other day... one with a round door knob. She hasn't repeated it yet, and I'm really hoping it was a fluke.

I hope that was a fluke, too, Kelly!
It is scary realizing that they can do things that you normally think of as possible only for beings with thumbs!

I get the feeling that Milton knows how every single thing in this house works...and that he's just biding his time until he shows me what he knows at each turn

I know a Saint Bernard who can open doors. And he leaves the other dogs behind.

I've been out all morning. Came home and got on computer. Now, a certain large, tri-color pupper is laying here on the couch whining in my general direction. Poor neglected pup!

Truman has gone 2 days now without eating - I tired of having dogs that don't eat - EAT SOMETHING NOW both of you!!

I made an appointment for him tomorrow with the vet.

Bree is getting REALLY skinny. I think we're on the slope downhill. She is 13 after all. But she's still peppy, she's just really really skinny. Time for another vet visit. What's wrong with Tru?

I'm not sure - something. He lethargic and not eating, he had a moist sounding cough yesterday morning, nothing since. I'm gonna have a heartworm test done to start

Katina, this may sound obvious, but try to keep Bree well-muscled -- there are some PT exercises for senior dogs that help keep them muscled and more agile. When they start losing muscle tone, it's a tough cycle to get out of b/c they are too weak to do much and then become less capable.
