Default Huntley found his purpose in life

We took a ride up to Somers Wisconsin today. We tried Huntley with lure coursing at camp, not interested, but we had nothing to do today, so. I am amazed and proud. He does have an attention span longer than a gnat, he had a blast. I guess his inner sight hound came out today. He became one of those crazed dogs that causes the lure coursing people to refer to the sport as "crack cocaine for dogs". He was watching the other dogs run, straining at the leash, whining for his turn. What a riot!!

Thanks guys! Elizabeth, yes, it's fabulous seeing them excited and happy about something. I really haven't had that opportunity before. Heidi is so timid, and Cleo, per the animal communicator she talked to about what she'd really like to do, after trying agility, lure coursing, any kind of retrieving, etc., etc., doesn't like to do anything. She'll do it if I ask her to, but she really likes just hanging out. So, yes, seeing Huntley go wild for something was a treat!

    Is that this place? http://www.lurecoursingfanatics.com/
They come to Doggie Palooza here in Mn the past 3 years and Basja loved it! Sometimes they take photos and it is hilarious! I signed up for their emails.

Yes, that's it. Lauri is a friend from Camp Dogwood, and if you look at the club officers, Brewzer if my other friend Lori's dog. We used to go up there with Frodo, he liked it, but Huntley was just really in his zone. If Basja loved it, the next time you're in for a weekend, once the weather breaks, we should go. They do it every weekend in the summer. When is Doggie Palooza, I want to come.

Usually first weekend in Oct, they didn't have it last year- had a cat convention instead...hopefully it will start back up. I might be back for this years'.

I wish that they had something like that in my area. Years ago, I got to try it with my old dog, Tika, and also with Max, the greyhound that I had for a year. They LOVED it. I'm sure Zeo and Kedge would get a kick out of it, Kida might too. She loves chasing the tip of Zeo's tail around the yard. Its like her own private lure course. lol

Well, if you ever get the urge to drive to Illinois, you can stay here and we can all go up there! Huntley would love your kid's company!
