    Default Food Change

So the vet recommended feeding Cole a low protein diet because of the medication. Currently we feed Hollistic Select Lamb and Rice but the protein level is 22%. Any recommendations? He does well with lamb and rice formulas....terrible with chicken formulas. We were also thinking of changing completly and feeding veggies and chicken.

We fed Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream and had good results. Although I just looked and it is 25% protein. So I had a certain doggy dietitian from a prior world do a write up for an epileptic dog. I can forward it to you if you if you'd like.

What I remember was more important than protein was grain free.

We decided to cook for Cole and stop feeding dog food. Chicken and meat and add some fresh veggies.I will keep everyone posted. It was so sweet watching my husband cook for Cole last night. I don't cook but for Cole I am willing to start He was so happy this morning he barked at his dish for more! He still loves his mother hubbard cookies though so we will use those as his treats.

There are alot of good doggy cookbooks out there. I used to cook for Abby the spoiled princess who would not eat dog food or raw.
