    Default Miley needs a miracle

We pulled a young, female liver/white Springer from the Mobile County Animal shelter early this morning. She had been brought into animal control as a stray.

She is very ill and tested positive for parvo virus this afternoon. She is being treated and we are all pulling for her to get this second chance.

Thank God we got her out of there today.

Please say a prayer for Miley. She needs a miracle.

That's terrific. Each day she is with us she will get stronger. When she makes it through this illness, where will she go?

Glad to hear she is still fighting. Parvo seems to be really bad this year. Is it worse when the weather is hot like this summer ?

Don't know how old she is - my contact at the shelter said a year. She looks like 9 - 12 months to me.

She has a foster home waiting for her as soon as she is well.

Parvo does tend to break when the weather is warm. The Mobile County shelter is very crowded. They are without a director right now. It's a very sad scene over there. If we hadn't pulled her yesterday she'd be dead tonight or tomorrow. I'm not sure what they are doing about the other dogs on the adoption floor. I'm betting the ones that aren't out of there by tomorrow will be euthanized on Monday.

I got an e-mail about an hour ago. She is a very sick dog and has gone downhill today. The good news is she's not a very young puppy. The bad news is she's got parvo and she's very, very thin.

She still needs your thoughts and prayers until she turns a corner.
