Abby conquers the A-Frame!

So Abby has been in a new class now for a couple of weeks, and we've worked two weeks on agility, one week on Rally, two weeks with some other random work involving loose leash and stuff from Control Unleashed. When we worked on Agility, Abby primarily did the jumps. She tried the Teeter and didn't dig it, and she wasn't keen on the A-Frame. The second week I could get all four paws on the A-Frame, but once she realized she was up there she would hop to the side. Today Abby did the A-Frame and absolutely nailed it. At our trainer's suggestion we tried clicking and tossing her treats off the frame so her reward could also be getting to step back from it and relax and it made all the difference. Seriously our girl rocked it out!

great job, Abby! Lola loves the agility course at the dog park, I really should get her into a more structured class.

Abby has been hit or miss with the agility equipment. The A-Frame and tunnels are super scary to her, but last night she conquered both! I was so proud of her, too, because I know how much work goes into her conquering these things. She was exhausted when she came home!
