    Emese
A mythical Hungarian queen. She was impregnated in her dream by the hawk Turul. From her breast flowed a stream of liquid fire and she gave birth to a boy, whom she named Almos. He is, together with his own son Arpad, considered to be the founder of Hungary.

You joke, but i LOVE this name. Saga also means:
The sagas (word originating from Old Norse) are stories about ancient Scandinavian and Germanic history, about early Viking voyages, the battles that took place during the voyages, about migration to Iceland and of feuds between Icelandic families. They were written in the Old Norse language, mainly in Iceland.
The texts are epic tales in prose, ...often with stanzas or whole poems in alliterative verse embedded in the text, of heroic deeds of days long gone, "tales of worthy men," who were often Vikings, sometimes Pagan, sometimes Christian. The tales are usually realistic, except legendary sagas, sagas of saints, sagas of bishops and translated or recomposed romances. They are sometimes romanticized and fantastic, but always dealing with human beings one can understand.

Naming is sooo funny! When i told our breeder that I wanted to name Zen her name (because it was a "Z" litter) she asked me for other names that have to do with Zen. At the time i think she was interested in show name associations based on the theme. Well! I gave her a full page of Japanese names and associations and suggested the Hindu/Buddhist tie in or if she wanted to go Japanese tea gardens she could go that route. I think i freaked her out a little because she never responded.

As it stands.. when brian went out there she asked him what Zen's full name was going to be and he totally biffed it because he just thought she meant the call name. I had a cool registered name all picked out but he didn't ask me and now we'd have to pay $ to change it. I'm sure Kendra, you'll have it all figured out by the time you pick the pup up. I'm so excited for you!

Funny, haha, weird, not. I offer and claim names to my fur and skin family members that have potent meaning to whomever has the right to offer the name. In the case of my dog's = my furchildren, each has descrpitive/sprititual/supernatural/pretty at least to me, hold great value. ....so Kendra, Rock On sister in the process of finding a name for your new girl dog. (I'm feeling overly Rock and Roll these days so pls ignore me on that front)....
