What I would have given to see a dopey, donut-collared, t-shirted Ozzy! Glad he's feeling better this morning.

Oh, don't worry. You still will. I was not in the mood to take a pic at 3am, and I was running a bit late this morning. But I'll get one tonight, I think.

I, too, have an awesome visual of Ozzy in the donut collar with a t-shirt on. I must see pictures!

When Abby had her surgery I put a pair of my boxers on her. Oh good lord was she mad at me. But it was totally worth it.

Ozzy is doing well. No more pain killer for him, I think. We haven't needed to use the donut again, so I think we'll have to stage something.

Glad everything went well for Ozzy. I used the donut collar for Cole too and I think he actually liked having it on. It was like an inflatable neck pillow

I'm glad that he's doing well AND that you're willing to further sacrifice his dignity for the sake of our entertainment.

It was open. Our vet doesn't have the super special equipment to do it the other way, and he'd prefer not to anyway. I considered waiting until spring and having the pexy done somewhere else that does do the athro, but we decided to get it all done at once.

I also think Ozzy likes the donut collar. He was confused at first, but it gave him a nice place to rest his head.

Glad everything went well for Ozzy! This explains the drugged up picture I saw on FB. Man, I am behind this week.

Ozzy's stitches come out today. Woohoo! I think he's busted a couple along the 'pexy incision. I'm curious how they will get them out. Maybe Dan will take video.

    mez!
I just saw this thread. (Yes yes. I'm clueless...)
I'm glad it went well and he's out of the woods.
Question: what does it mean if the pexy is "open"... do you mean they opened him up? It seems like the obvious answer but i figured i'd ask anyways.

Yes - as opposed to doing it arthroscopically. He would still have an incision that way, but it would be much smaller.

They removed the stitches, but he does have a few staples in because the area needed a little help. He is cleared for walks, which is good, and he has an ointment since he's got a bit of a rash.
