Default Irish Setter Gives Birth to Litter of 15

    Cute pics in the article:

As an added bonus, here's a handy guide to assessing the mood of an Irish Setter:

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion,
It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed,
The hands acquire shaking, the shaking becomes a warning,
It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

My new rule: Don't ever read internet comments. They usually make you despair the human race.

When i was puppy searching I was particularly interested in this one Dog. He was scheduled to be bred to another girl.. but the litter he had just sired had 15 pups! Can you imagine how big the swissy mom had to be with 15 pups in her belly? You could probably roll her down a hill. Irish setters are pretty big.. i'm sure this mom was the same.

My breeder has a girl that had a litter of 18 Leonbergers and they all survived. Momma was HUGE and they were an internet sensation for a while.

That poor family. It is a ton of work to have that many puppies. I hope they have lots of help.
