    Default cancer scare

Pam already knows this, but we had a cancer situation with Zubin this week.
Zubin was down what was thought as a pancreas flare up. I took him into the vet once he got past 24 hours of vomiting. During the ultrasound for his pancreas, the vet say a mass and it was endoscoped as a precaution.
My heart sunk on the phone call tuesday that they found cancer cells and scheduled Zubin for surgery thursday. He had a soft tissue sarcoma. While normally this type of cancer does not spread through the body, it is an aggressive cancer. To think that if Zubin had not had a pancreas flare up any tests would have been months down the road is horribly frightening.
Zubin had his surgery and doing well. On thursday this week ( one week after) he has his followup check up.
Thank you Pam for saying nothing until I was ready to talk about this.

I'm so sorry to hear this about Zubin. What is the follow up like... is there chemo? Sending prayers your way.

His first day after the surgery he ws really off and grumpy and even tried to bit me when I moved his paw off the radiator. He has good times of mister studly, and others leave me alone type. He threw up twice today but could be the yogurt and not related to the surgery.

We are hoping for that as well. Except for having an off day yesterday, he is looking like in general he is feeling better.
