Default Binx not being able to hold his bladder

I'm really concerned about Binx. I know he's old, so this could be his problem. He can't hold his pee over night. I'll let him out before I go to bed, but by the next morning, he's peed all over my kitchen floor or dining room floor (thank God it's not on my rug). He's even done so in a short time when we're gone for a few hours. This has been going on for about 6 months on and off, but lately it's every day.

Should I pick the water up so he can't drink it overnight? I usually put him on the couch before I go to bed. When I come out the next morning, he's off the couch and he's peed on the floor. I'm just wondering if him jumping off the couch joggles him and makes him have to go.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Get him checked for a UTI and discuss proin with your vet. It works for male dogs too. Good luck!

What Lora said. It's no fun cleaning up constantly!

    Agree with Lora.
They will collect a sterile urine sample from him...and go from there...
Good luck to both of you.

Well this stinks! I hope he feels better soon! And I agree -- check for a UTI or bladder infections. not to sound gross, but he could have a yeast infection to. that could make it hard for him to hold it.
