    Default Bella update

Really rough morning today. I picked her up ( like I have been) And she just screams in pain. I cry everytime it happens. she goes to the back of her crate and looks at me like I am doing it on purpose. I am just not seeing any progress. I just don't know what to think.
when I do go to pick her up she goes on her belly which makes it hard to pick her up. Please keep the prayers coming.

Oh no poor Bella. Do you think a disc may be pinching on the nerve?

Poor Bella. In our thoughts and prayers.

If its like a primal sounding howl, any chance she has been exposed to lyme as well?

/edit- does it sound like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr8RWnnVeus

Sorry, Terry ((hugs)). Did the vet say how long it would take for her to stop having so much pain? Maybe it's part of the normal healing process?

All good thoughts and positive vibes coming your way.

stupid me never thought of this. My son said "why don't you carry her crate outside and just let her walk out of it instead of trying to pick her up" duh! Of course it took a piece of hotdog to get her back in. So now I will be carrying her crate outside instead of picking her up.
No, the vet didn't say how long. I spoke with Shannon today since she has experience with this. I guess it could take awhile.shannon did say that since she is able to walk that that is a good sign. My fear is that surgery would be needed and honestly, I don't have the money. The surgery is never a guarentee either. We are talking thousands. Not to mention they would have to do an MRI first which is approx 500. I just pray that love, crate rest, and meds heal her.

Could be the pain management- ie healing enough to realize the pain level. Pure silence is way too much pain, and on down. Shoot- if my dogs stub a toe or something, you would think they were being murdered. However- something really bad, like Femka was, is absolute silence.
They say its nature. When an animal is really hurting, no reason to tip off another animal their location etc.

she doesn't cry out in pain unless it is sudden. The weird thing is I had the same thing, well sort of. I fx my back and the vertebre displaced and pressed on my nerves. I had severe shooting pain. I had to have surgery with rods and plates in my back. Not a fun thing. I understand her pain more than you can imagine.

    Yikes Terry!
When I broke my leg, and had my surgery, it would hurt more if someone helped me than if I did something myself. If I did it myself, I could more easily tell slowly when " uh no- thats the wrong way" but not so if someone was helping me- ..
