    Default Washing martingale collars?

I just looked at Indy's nice St. Pat's collar from last year, and it's a wee bit on the dirty side. Construction dust, I think. That's what happens when you get a white background fabric, I guess.

Have any of you ever washed the fabric (non-ribbon) collars? I was thinking of putting it in a lingerie bag and trying it that way. Thoughts?

Do you put it in anything first?

Nope, I just lay it on it's skinny side on the top rack, try to spread it out so all sides get clean. Some of those collars have serious hardware on them, I don't want that denting the drum in my washer. If it was a fancy-schmancy one with nice material, I'd do the washer/bag thing though.

ETA: It's also loud as heck!

I throw mine in the washer with no problem and they come out looking great.

Same here, washing machine on delicate in a lingerie bag on cold. If you're worried about the hardware, like Ericka mentioned, I have a lingerie bag made by tide that actually is padded. I get no extra noise and don't have to worry about the hardware banging.

I need to wash ours soon, but the last time I did, I put them in a pillowcase and ran them through the washer

Target! It was by ironing boards and sewing stuff. And, I will say it works really well.

Target's link for it, but you can only get it in stores:

From Tide's website so you can kind of see what it looks like:

Make sure you use cold water to wash them if they use the heat bonded sizing in it. And lay flat to dry or hang from a hanger.

    Ericka -

When my dad was in college he used to steam fish in the dishwasher. Who knew it could be used in so many ways. LOL

I can only hope he didn't use dish washing detergent. LOL However, knowing him he probably put marinade in the soap dispenser. EWWWWWWWWWWWWW
