Default Lamb as the base if a food question.

I have always been told that lamb as the lead base in a food was not good to serve over a long period of time. Is this really true.

We had lamb shanks for dinner tonight and Lowe went bonkers. Bouncing, barking, spinning.

Lamb is a very rich meat. Not to mention pricey.

Are you talking about raw or in dog food/kibble?

The only reason lamb is not good as a long term food is because it lacks taruine. You could supplement with heart or some other wet food and it should be fine.
