And where was Hattie when Mickey was living under my stove a couple of years ago?
If you recall, my cat was watching the mouse poop on the mouse trap from the safety of the island in the kitchen..LOL..

Oh my gosh.....these stories are making me laugh!
We had mice this winter. And do you know what we got from our cat Jeremiah? Nuthin'. NOT A THING. He just stared at the cabinet under the sink where Mickey and friends were partying. I on the other hand bopped one on the head when I went to throw something in the garbage and found him/her noshing on some popcorn. I cried for three hours cuz I killed the mouse. 'Miah just looked at me. Jeff was ready to commit me. Can I borrow Hattie for next year?
Hattie is on the way LOL She is a great mouser but then she is a natural born killer. You should see her when she puts them in the bathtub to play with them. They can't get out and are totally at her mercy...of which she has very little by the way.
She sounds like my mother's cat. She's a very pretty long haired gray and white cat. Her name is Star. My mother calls her Baby. When I went to give her some water she hissed at me twice. I now call her Fang. She was such a grouchy grump while mom was away. I'll give her a break though, she DID weather the tornado all by herself. Nah, she's always been a fanged demon...
Cats! They do as they please and not a smidge more. While we were away this week my 24 year old skeletal senior cat stole the dinner right off the house-sitter's plate. No-one knew he could move that quickly anymore, let alone jump up on the table. I guess the expensive canned food, dry food 24/7 and nutrical enhanced catmilk 2x/day just weren't doing it for him. And here I thought the chimpmunk he was playing with last week was a gift from our other cat. Now I'd bet he caught it himself.
Oh Hattie lol. Gotta keep momma on her toes
